Code/Interactive is seeking an enthusiastic Austin-based program manager with an education background and coding experience. The program manager will expand the Coding4TX program to ensure that students are getting access to an incredible computer science education, including curriculum internalization & curation, teacher coaching & support, data collection & analysis, and special program design & delivery.
Code/Interactive is inspiring the next generation of entrepreneurs and technology leaders by helping students nationwide learn, build, and collaborate with technology. Our three-part program empowers in-school educators to teach the fundamentals of web development & computer science, challenges students to validate, prototype, & pitch technology-based solutions to societal problems at coding summits, and provides career-inspiring office visits & panels, scholarships, and internship opportunities.
Coding4TX is an initiative to ensure that all students in Texas have access to an exceptional computer science education. Coding4TX, the product of a local family foundation, brings together different players in the education space; Code/Interactive executes the curriculum brokerage, coaching, and school relationship management arms of this initiative.

Other Program Management
There are a lot of initiatives within the program team and the organization. As such, you may be asked to contribute on other team-wide projects as well. In time, we might also evolve the role’s responsibilities if there are other projects that are a better fit or an organizational priority at the time (such as summit program design, program operational management, or metrics collection and analysis).
This role requires regular travel throughout Central Texas, and quarterly to other regions, in order to visit and observe classrooms and facilitate professional development sessions. Additionally, this role at times requires the ability to lift large and/or heavy packages in order to set up and tear down coding/design summits and professional development events.
We are aiming for a June 1, 2017 start date for this role. There is some flexibility with this date for an exceptional candidate, especially those who currently work in schools and have to finish the academic year.
