Code/Interactive AP CS Principles Students @ Google NYC

April 7, 2017 by

Code/Interactive’s AP Computer Science Principles students from Cresskill High School visited Google NYC where they toured the space and learned about the different types of roles in the technology industry and at Google specifically.

Not only did they see the varied work environments that support Googler productivity and creativity, but learned about how Google uses data to make decisions about everything, from how far a kitchen should be from work areas to why the freedom to play with Lego blocks is important.

What did students say were the biggest lessons of the day?

  • It’s okay to fail.
  • Determination and curiosity are really important and can lead you down a rewarding career path that you enjoy.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills have been essential to our Googlers’ successes.

Thank you Google NYC for sharing your time and knowledge with our Code/Interactive students!
