CODE/INTERACTIVE PROGRAMS

Code/Interactive currently provides CS curriculum and support, entrepreneurship opportunities, and career exposure to over 130 teachers and 5,000 students.

CS CURRICULUM + TEACHER SUPPORT

Code/Interactive provides districts, schools and teachers with curriculum, tools, training, and ongoing support necessary to implement K-12 computer science courses.

We ensure that schools are providing a computer science education that is tailored to its students’ needs. We partner with experienced curriculum providers to develop custom district and school programs.

HACKATHONS + CODE SUMMITS

Students work in teams with professionals to design products that solve real-world problems in entrepreneurship challenges. In 2014-2015, over 92% of our students showed significant growth in characteristics associated with youth thriving. Hackathon winners have presented at Social Media Week, New York Tech Meetup, and The White House Science Fair.

In the 2016-2017 academic year, we will produce four multi-state summits and host a large-scale hackathon as part of SXSW.

OFFICE TOURS + COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIPS

Students interact with companies & role models, can obtain scholarships, and build a network of peers & mentors. We take students from partner schools on career-focused office tours and employee panels and this year will provide 10 low income NYC students with a full-ride scholarship to pursue a technology-related degree.

CODING4TX: CODE/INTERACTIVE IN TEXAS

Coding4TX is a coding and computer science education program serving teachers and students in the state of Texas. The initiative, organized and initially funded by the KLE Foundation, currently operates coding and computer science programs for over 1,500 students in Austin, San Antonio, and the Rio Grande Valley.

TEACH CS

Code/Interactive provides schools and teachers with the curriculum, tools, training, and ongoing support necessary to teach computer science. Our program managers enable teachers to choose and customize the school-optimized course and then ensure teacher success through deep coaching and engagement.

We start with a conversation to determine which curriculum is right for your school and students, with professional development to follow. We can also provide ongoing support and development for your school.

We pride ourselves on our ability to help excellent teachers deliver computer science courses with little or no content background experience. Are you a teacher or school/district leader that would like to see computer science in your classrooms? Contact us to get the conversation started.

We support and train teachers across a variety of curriculum and actively seek out new courses for teachers.
